Second Ultrasound

BG is finally starting to look like a baby. Actually, what I find the most amazing is that BG actually is a baby. A completely formed, all the parts are already there, baby. Just one of those little nuggets that makes you appreciate God and his awe-inspiring creations. Every organ, finger, toe and ear is neatly condensed into a perfectly miniature two and a half inch baby. WOW.

Now, for a few comments about ultrasounds. I love looking at the pictures, I'm not a huge fan of the appointments. I hate having to drink all those fluids and then sit (or in my case, pace) the waiting room hoping that they will call your name before you end up peeing yourself. And as much as I love my husband, Rod wasn't much help. He just kept laughing at me. Looking back, I suppose it was amusing. But at the time, I was not up for humor. I thought that my bladder might just explode. And I was the first appointment of the day. How could she possibly be running 15 minutes behind before the day even starts? I swear I think it is a test. I am proud to have passed this round. Next time I will NOT schedule myself for the first appointment of the day. I think the morning is harder than other times of the day because I was standing in the bathroom brushing my teeth and taking a shower (all required running water, of course). Not a mistake I will make again.

Adorable pics! I can't believe your doc still makes you drink all that fluid! I was lucky that mine didn't. Not sure- maybe it's a difference in technology?

Either way congrats on the little nugget! :)
